Stunning pair of antique 19th century French green glass vases. Beautiful vivid green color glass, encased in sumptuous neoclassical / Empire style ormolu mounts. Comprising of finely detailed appliques depicting women in flowing Grecian gowns. To the sides are dancing nymphs with floral garlands allegories for spring. The front and back with allegories representing the arts, muses for painting and sculpture. Further decorated with intricate reticulated borders patterned with rosettes and leaves. In overall good antique condition with general wear commensurate with age. No chips or cracks, there are some scratches to the glass from use. Vases stand 8 3/4" height x 3 3/4" length x 2 3/8" width.
