Large French Sevres porcelain baluster vase. The Chinese Celadon style vase is done in a lovely turquoise color with carved florals, elaborate scrolls and dragons. Marked PM Sevres within a dotted circle, for Paul Milet and son Henri Milet. This mark was in use circa 1930s. Optat Milet began his career as a modeler for Sèvres in 1862, and opened his own ceramics factory in 1866. His son Paul Jean Milet took over operations shortly before the turn of the century and ran the company when his son Henri incorporated into the business in 1931. The vase is in very good condition. Stands 12 3/4" height x 7" width.
