Lovely antique late 19th century French sterling silver coffee or tea cup and saucer. Featuring elegant styling and decorated with an applied laurel wreath twined with ribbon. The cup further enhanced with a casted scrolled handle and rests on a pedestal foot. Both saucer and cup are hallmarked with the French Minerve 1st titre mark designating a silver content of .950/1000, a higher grade than the standard .925. Also both pieces bear maker's marks for silversmiths Armand Abit & Lopisgich, 1898-1903 at 171 rue du Temple, Paris. In very good condition, general surface wear, a dimple on the saucer and to the back of the cup.
